Discover new places, new people, new hobbies, and open your eyes to the world. Learn about the stuff they don't teach you in high school like how to host a film festival, plan your first road trip, make a podcast, spend a day in silence, or shut down a house party before the police do. Interest, amuse and educate youself--because your life doesn't stop at 3 PM each day, it just gets started.

2008 is just hours from being over, and it’s been a great year in the book world. To celebrate, we have a “Best Books of 2008” display in Yscapes. Teens can come in and vote for the best books they read this year, and we post their choices on the display. Here are some of the books that have been picked so far, in no particular order. (Click on the links to get more information on the titles from our online card catalog.)

There’s still time to come in and add your own choices and see what other teens have been reading, so come check it out.

The redheaded princess
