Come to Tuesday Teen Flicks and watch the newest movie about the crew of a space ship that takes an amazing trek through the stars! ;-)


Thursday 11/19 @ 6:30 p.m.: Teen Advisory Board Meeting!

Come to the TAB meeting to decide what movies we’re watching next month, choose our next 4 books for the Teen Book Club, and plan our teen events for December! Don’t forget, if you being a friend to the meeting, you both get a candy bar!

Come to our LIVE video chat with Maureen Johnson, author of 13 Little Blue Envelopes, our November Book Club pick! She also write Suite Scarlett, Girl at Sea, and other great books! We will be chatting with Maureen all the way from New York City, and you can come ask her questions about her books, the writing process, getting published, or anything else that’s on your mind! Maureen is taking time out of her super busy schedule to talk to us, so we want lots of people to come take advantage of this awesome opportunity! (PS: You can come even if you haven’t read the book!) There will be snacks, drinks and free gifts, so don’t miss it!

Don’t miss Teen Open Mic at the Twin Falls Public Library Thursday November 5 at 4:00 p.m.! Teen Open Mic is a chance for you to get up in the spotlight and shine! You can come sing a song, recite a monologue, play the guitar, read a poem, or even do a stand up comedy routine! If getting up in front of a crowd isn’t your thing, then just come hang out and cheer on the performers! As always, there will be snacks and drinks. Plus, everyone who comes will get an awesome keychain that doubles as a cardholder for your activity card, driver’s license, activity card, or whatever!

With Halloween right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to enter the Teen Costume Contest at the Twin Falls Public Library!

You can compete individually or in pairs, and there will be prizes for both categories! (Including a Flip video camera!!!) Be prepared to tell the judges how your costume fits in with this year’s Teen Read Week theme, Read Beyond Reality. (Think sci-fi and fantasy.) You can also participate some fun challenges that will earn you extra points!

October 13 @ 4 p.m.: Breann is organizing a group of TAB members and other teens to act out some of the songs from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” If you are interested in being a part, meet in Yscapes October 13 @ 4:00 and we’ll get the ball rolling!

October 13 @ 4:30 p.m.: Tuesday Teen Flicks— The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
