Come to our LIVE video chat with Maureen Johnson, author of 13 Little Blue Envelopes, our November Book Club pick! She also write Suite Scarlett, Girl at Sea, and other great books! We will be chatting with Maureen all the way from New York City, and you can come ask her questions about her books, the writing process, getting published, or anything else that’s on your mind! Maureen is taking time out of her super busy schedule to talk to us, so we want lots of people to come take advantage of this awesome opportunity! Join the Twin Falls Public Library for an evening filled with royalty, magical creatures and lots of adventure as we welcome author Jessica Day George!
George will be at the Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 24. She will read from her books, discuss the process of writing and getting published, and answer questions from the audience!
George has published five books, including the popular “Dragon Slippers” trilogy. The series revolves around a young woman named Creel the adventures she has with her dragon friend Shardas. She has also published “Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow,” which is based on a Nordic legend, and “Princess of the Midnight Ball,” her take on the fairy tale of the 12 dancing princesses. “Princess of the Midnight Ball” has been nominated for the 2010 Best Books for Young Adults award from the Young Adult Library Services Association.
A native of Idaho, George currently lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and their son. Along with writing, she enjoys reading and knitting.
